The survey lasted 2 days and was followed by a quick extrication of the magnetic anomalies. 24 anomalies have been pegged on the field.

Kiln locating

Project description:

Within the scope of the construction of the high-speed railway line in Western France, the French National institute for Rescue archaeology (INRAP) has entrusted to Tellus Environment geophysical prospecting with a drone and the interpretation of the maps produced with the Magsalia process.

Discovery of salt kilns in the Seille Valley

The helicoptered magnetic survey has highlighted the zones with major accumulation of Briquetage waste, thus evidencing there was no other accumulation zone in the Seille Valley than the ones in the villages of Vic-sur-Seille, Marsal and, above all, Moyenvic.
